Batten down the hatches, Ransomware infections reported worldwide.
A massive ransomware campaign appears to have infected a number of organisations around the world.

Computers in thousands of locations have apparently been locked by a program that demands $300 (£230) in Bitcoin.

There have been reports of infections in as many as 74 countries, including the UK, US, China, Russia, Spain, Italy and Taiwan.

Update your Windows people. Get at least MS17-010.

Fix?

"An "extraordinary" Oxford University student who stabbed her ex-boyfriend in the leg may avoid jail as it would affect her career prospects, a judge has said.
Lavinia Woodward, 24, attacked the man at Christ Church college, while she was under the influence of drink and drugs.
At Oxford Crown Court, Judge Ian Pringle QC said he believed the attack was "a complete one-off".
Defence barrister James Sturman QC had argued it would be "almost impossible" for Woodward to become a surgeon once she had disclosed her conviction to employers."

All that is wrong with the judicial system today

Would you want that silly b*tch operating on you?

What more can you expect from "moral & ethical intellectuals" just like this mob...

Tories plan to introduce Labour's "Death Tax"

...while they plan to further enhance their own tax avoidance plans & offshore accounts.

I vote CONservative ( not that it makes much difference for " my " constituancy ( Suffolk Coastal ) ) . Least with the CONservatives you know they are going to " screw you over " ;-) Unlike Labour who did " royaly fu#k " the country up and they are better with " Comrade Corbyn " leading their socialist ( read commie ) revolution ( don't think the GB voters have that shorter memory matey ;-) )

Yes!
Former pirate Radio Caroline awarded broadcast licence
The former ship-based pirate station, Radio Caroline, has been handed its first full-time AM broadcast licence.

It allows the service, which is currently an internet and digital station, to broadcast on medium wave to Suffolk and parts of north Essex.

Manager, Peter Moore, wants to broadcast from its ship MV Ross Revenge on the River Blackwater in Essex.

It comes 50 years after the 1967 Marine Broadcasting Offences Act that was intended to stop pirate broadcasters.

Pure B/S - Just another way to increase profits & tax

Likely lowers the cost of NHS over the long term. Maybe you will be able to see the Dr. now because he isn't dealing with another slow suicide case.

Doubt it. Too many alchies & junkies costing it too much.

Maybe making a litre of alcohol £40, £10 a pint & £5 a can will either cut back on those alchies & dopeheads using the NHS or provide more than enough funds for it to cater for everyone.

Maybe, but in the tobacco world in the UK, today is a very special day.

Hand rolling tobacco under 30g & packets of 10 cigarettes will no longer be sold.

Before today I used to purchase when out of my normal tobacco & shops had none in stock, another brand for £3.59 for 10g. As the new minimum that can be purchased is 30g & the normal rule of purchasing in bulk was a lower costing which is no longer true.

3x£3.59 totals £10.77 but the new price for 30g of the same brand is £12.59 - that is the same across the board. So what else can one think but an increase in both profits & tax.

Compared to booze increases every year, the tobacco industry takes the biggest hit.
