Hi all,

Is there a way to hide or signal projects already joined from non-joined ones when adding a new project?

Thanks

You're saying to not show projects in the Add Project picklist if already joined. Greying them out or giving them a tickmark would also work, but care about this I wouldn't... maybe the add project menu option is better to only show if in the project tab, so you always see what's already associated?

Hi,

Correct.

Greying them out or giving them a tickmark would also work

Yes. Whatever is the trick, the important is giving the info at that time that some of them are already added.

but care about this I wouldn't...

That is your opinion. I care instead. For me it is logical. It is also the true the contrary: Still listing project I have already joined the Add Project's list doesn't make sense.

maybe the add project menu option is better to only show if in the project tab, so you always see what's already associated?

It doesn't help. If I have 2 projects then I could remember them, but if I have 50 then I'll not remember for sure. So positioning a button in the context of the joined project list doesn't help.

It's not a bug or error or whatever. Only at user friendly level it counts.
At least, that is my opinion.

Grazie!

At the moment it's not possible, but I think it's a great idea. Have sent it as a request to the developers. I'll probably add it as a request to GitHub as well.

@Jord: Can you please always add those things to the github issue tracker? There might be someone interested in doing this who didn't get your email but browses the github issue list. There is also the "Feature Request" tag so it is easily found.

The thing is, I can't add any tags. I don't have any available, not in Pale Moon and not in Firefox. Reported that ages ago, never heard anything from it again.

But it's added to gitHub now. #401

I just checked with the github help and one needs write access to the specific repository in order to apply labels and milestones to issues. But don't worry. I'm checking the issues from time to time and apply labels when needed.

Progress can be seen here: https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/issues/1552
