Good evening, I request you all great. I want to ask whether there is the SETI @ home program that can communicate with the BOINC program and can convert the unit WU counted on sound? Thus bycg could hear the data that právš counted in the SETI @ home project. Once upon a time there was this program for the older version of SETI Classic. Link to this program is here: http://gamma.nic.fi/~jknutar/wu2wav/index.html
But has not run on Win 7 and higher. If there were a similar program, I would be grateful. Thank you.

This whole topic is here, but in the Czech language. http://www.boinc.cz/forum/viewtopic.php?t=981

That question is best asked at the Seti project forum, probably in Number Crunching.

Can I ask you about a link to this article? Unfortunately I can not find him. It would help me a lot. Thanks again

He appears to want a program that translates the radio signals being searched by SETi into audible sounds, so that he can "listen to the universe"
He says that something like this was available for SETI classic. (Possibly from a Czech cruncher?)

Yes, it's exactly as you type. But that program was only for SETI Classic AMV BOINC does not work anymore.

It's very unlikely that anyone would have made something like this for the BOINC version of SETI. People just crunch the data, they don't listen to it.

And there are so many other projects that are now available that get shared computer time. So more science to take up people's time.

Plus this site ISN'T SETI. SETI is: here.
And you'll need a SETI account to log in there.

Well, this is still not Seti@home forums, but I'm feeling exceptionally nice today so...

S@H forums have a search page over here. If you put "wu2wav" in search keywords and set time limit to "no limit" you'd find a number of posts and threads talking about converting workunits to WAV. Like this post and this thread.

Interesting. There must be a lot of bored people around. :)

Another thing that one could do is get a sw radio and make a long wire aerial. Then tune the radio to "a certain frequency", and listen to the lightning storms on Jupiter.
Or so I read years ago.

(Actually I've been bored lately, and am looking into a DSLR camera so that I can take astro photos, instead of just looking with my NexStar 8. If it ever stops raining. :( )
