What would be great is to be able to enter several time blocks for which BOINC could crunch work units. As things are now, you could only specify one.

For example, I would like to crunch during 2 time blocks daily: 12:00 am to 8:00 am and 4:00 pm to 11:59 pm. Right now I can only specify one of these.

How hard would this be to implement? If parsing the time is problematic, perhaps you can use 24 check boxes representing one hour of the day (e.g., 12:00 am - 1:00 am, 1:00 am - 2:00 am, 2:00 am - 3:00 am, etc.) I can then check the boxes when I want BOINC to crunch. At the start of each hour, the code can do a simple comparison between the current time, and the appropriate check box value and suspend or start processing if called for.

Ask a buddy programmer, because since the beginning of this month the way BOINC operates has changed, from being programmed almost exclusively by three paid programmers, to everyone in the community on a voluntary basis.

In other words, bring the code forward and if found to be an interesting enough feature, it may be added to a client/BOINC Manager in the future.

You already can... enter from 16:00 to 08:00. Enter that in main, and if you have specific days [weekend e.g.], enter there for example 00:00 to 00:00 to get crunching 24 hours while being out of office.

(BOINCTasks Tool has graphical boxes view where you can pick by the whole hour, but never tried... no need to]
