I use Debian Linux 6 on a quad core machine as a cloud storage server.
Other clients go swimmingly well: seti@, Einstein@, asteroids@ etc.
But when it comes to Quakecatcher, boinc completely ignores it exists ...
It will download and ready quake catchers jobs, [all ready to crunch when its quakes turn], but quake catcher never gets to start.
Ive even paused the others, in hope that it will prompt quake to start, but no success.
I'm hoping someone can point me in a direction ...or maybe has had a similar issue.
It will most likely be something Ive overlooked.

Thanks

The project sends out tasks which are so called Non Computing Intensive. They do not use the CPU and run always in the background. So it is normal that they seemingly do not actively run.

The tasks on QCN are only keeping an eye on the motion detector if your computer is equipped with one, so to detect earth quakes when they happen. When your computer has no such detection by itself, it was possible to buy an external detector.
